Fore! Hope. Golf Outing Raises $28,457 to Support Families at Hope’s Harbor

FORT WAYNE, IN – This month, golfers, sponsors, and community members came together at Riverbend Golf Course for the annual Fore! Hope. Golf Outing, raising $28,457 to benefit families staying at Hope’s Harbor Family Hospitality Homes.

The day was filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to keeping families close to their children receiving critical medical care. The funds raised will directly support overnight accommodations, meals, and essential services at Hope’s Harbor’s two Fort Wayne locations.

“Every golfer, sponsor, and volunteer who participated helped make a real difference for families navigating some of the most challenging moments of their lives,” said Wendy Hoering, Executive Director of Hope’s Harbor. “We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from this community.”

Lutheran Health Network served as the Presenting Sponsor for the outing, with Moore and Associates as the Cocktail Sponsor. Hope’s Harbor also extends heartfelt thanks to all additional sponsors, whose generosity made the event possible.

The day included a special full-circle moment when board member Matt Henry participated with two of his triplets — who, along with their family, stayed at Hope’s Harbor 18 years ago when they were born prematurely.

“This event is about more than golf,” Henry shared. “It’s about ensuring families today have the same comfort and support mine had when we needed it most.”
