to hope.

Hope’s Harbor is a nonprofit family hospitality home. Our services are available to families with a hospitalized child in any Fort Wayne medical facility.

Our mission is to offer hospitality services to parents and families of children receiving medical care away from home. We provide a place of comfort, hope, emotional support and community.

We serve families regardless of race, gender, religious or political affiliation.

And we don’t turn anyone away due to an inability to pay.

What to expect

Hope’s Harbor guests must be referred by a member of the hospital care team and have a child receiving in patient medical treatment. Our hospitality homes are conveniently located on the campuses of Lutheran Hospital and Dupont Hospital. Both homes are fully accessible.

Our locations feature:

Private bedrooms
TV lounge, family rooms and outdoor areas
Private bath and shower facilities
Complimentary pantry items, fresh foods and prepared meals provided by the community
Community with other families experiencing similar stresses and concerns
Kitchen, laundry and exercise facilities
Computer and internet access
House staff and volunteer support available to guests

At Hope’s Harbor, no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.

We encourage families with the ability to contribute toward their stay to make a small donation to help offset the cost of providing our services. Suggested donation is only $10 per night.

Current guest contribution

We are fortunate to have generous individuals, companies, churches and groups that volunteer to provide meals for guests on a regular basis. Guests are welcome to bring personal food items to store in the shared kitchen.
