Announcing Our New Executive Director
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (January 3, 2022)
Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House, a caring place for the families of critically ill children, located on the campuses of Lutheran, Dupont and Lutheran Downtown hospital, is pleased to announce the selection of its new Executive Director, Wendy Hoering.
Wendy joins the Children’s Hope House from East Allen County Schools and served as their Director of Development & Federal Programs. In this role she managed district-wide planning and compliance for pandemic relief grants, served as the Executive Director for the EACS Educational Foundation, and advised the Superintendent on district funding opportunities. Prior to serving EACS, Wendy was the McKinney-Vento Consortium Coordinator for Fort Wayne Community Schools. In this position, she created a consortium to bring the four school districts in Allen County together for homeless education for all students. Wendy was responsible for identifying, liaising with, and monitoring students and families in the district experiencing homelessness.
Wendy received her master’s degree in Leadership from Trine University, and her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision from Purdue University Fort Wayne. Wendy and her husband of ten years, Justin, have two children and two dogs.

Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House is a non-profit hospitality house that provides shelter, meals, laundry facilities and a peaceful refuge for families with children who are critically ill or injured.
